Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA) and the host Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA), saw Banneker's basketball squad hold off Northgate by a tally of 58-56.

With the victory, Banneker improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Midtown (Atlanta, GA) to confront the Knights in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Midtown lost 80-73 in their recent non-league challenge against Douglass (Atlanta, GA)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Temple Tigers (Temple, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 3. Northgate will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 53-36 non-league win over Woodland (Cartersville, GA).
