Nebraska High School Basketball - Battle Creek knocked off by Wayne

The Wayne Blue Devils basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Battle Creek Braves to 28 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ponca for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 3. Wayne will meet a Indians team coming off a 56-25 non-league win over Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE). The Indians record now stands at 1-0.

The Braves (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (Humphrey, NE). The enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family ran past Clarkson/Leigh (Clarkson, NE), 54-45, in a non-league contest.
