Beatrice Orangemen (Beatrice, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Nebraska City Pioneers (Nebraska City, NE), 57-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Beatrice upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Orangemen host Crete (Crete, NE) to play the Cardinals in a B District 1 bout on Thursday, December 8. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Crete won 72-46 in their recent non-league bout against Hastings (Hastings, NE)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Ralston Rams (Ralston, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Nebraska City will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 70-34 non-league loss to Blair (Blair, NE).
