Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Biggsville West Central Heat (Biggsville, IL), 45-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mendon Unity upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Illini West (Carthage, IL) to clash with the Chargers in a West Central - South bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Illini West won 57-55 in their recent league bout against Hamilton/Warsaw (Hamilton, IL)

Next up, the Heat clash with the Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Biggsville West Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
