Centerville Big Reds/Redettes (Centerville, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA), 62-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Centerville upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Big Reds/Redettes host Cardinal (Eldon, IA) to play the Comets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets (Eddyville, IA) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Davis County will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
