The Pope County Pirates basketball team (Golconda, IL), was overwhelmed 84-46 in Friday's league battle with the host Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL)

The Trojans now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gallatin County for a Greater Egyptian battle on Tuesday, December 6. Crab Orchard will battle a Hawks team coming off a 53-27 non-league loss to Eldorado (Eldorado, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 1-3.

The Pirates (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Community Christian (Paducah, KY). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
