Dunn Earwigs (Los Olivos, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Valley Christian Academy Lions (Santa Maria, CA), 42-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dunn upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Earwigs travel to Bishop Diego (Santa Barbara, CA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Lions play the Coast Union Broncos (Cambria, CA) in a Coast Valley bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Valley Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 72-37 non-league loss to Santa Maria (Santa Maria, CA).
