PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad wallop the host Havana Ducks (Havana, IL), 65-34 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Bluejays travel to North Greene (White Hall, IL) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 22. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Ducks confront the Midwest Central Raiders (Manito, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 3. Havana will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 67-51 league loss to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL).
