Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX), 48-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sam Rayburn upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Rebels host Leonard (Leonard, TX) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Leonard lost 45-44 in their recent non-league bout against Celeste (Celeste, TX)

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Lone Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 44-31 non-league loss to Farmersville (Farmersville, TX).
