The McDowell Trojans topped the visiting Northgate Flames basketball team by a final score of 56-39 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 3. McDowell will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 64-59 non-league win over Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA).

With the defeat, Northgate moves to 0-1 on the year. The Flames travel to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA) to face the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, December 3. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 1-0. Mohawk Area won 57-55 in their recent non-league game against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA)
