Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears (San Juan, TX), 46-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley View upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Tigers host Palmview (La Joya, TX) to play the Lobos in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Palmview won 55-45 in their recent non-league bout against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX)

Next up, the Bears play the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 55-45 non-league loss to Palmview (La Joya, TX).
