Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA), 62-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Armstrong upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The River Hawks travel to Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA) to play the Cavaliers in a WPIAL 5A 2 bout on Saturday, December 3. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Kiski Area won 50-38 in their recent non-league bout against Knoch (Saxonburg, PA)

Next up, the Golden Tornado play the Knoch Knights (Saxonburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Butler will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 50-38 non-league loss to Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA).
