China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Groesbeck Goats (Groesbeck, TX), 56-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, China Spring upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Cougars host West (West, TX) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-5. West won 45-19 in their recent non-league bout against C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX)

Next up, the Goats clash with the McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Groesbeck will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 63-48 non-league win over Krum (Krum, TX).
