The Morley Stanwood Mohawks basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Grant Tigers to 49 in the Mohawks league triumph on Friday.

The Mohawks now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine River Area for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Morley Stanwood will battle a Bucks team coming off a 41-23 league win over Roscommon (Roscommon, MI). The Bucks record now stands at 1-1.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Whitehall (Whitehall, MI). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Whitehall ran past Cadillac (Cadillac, MI), 41-36, in a non-league contest.
