Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lake Belton Broncos (Temple, TX), 48-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Midway upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Panthers host Connally (Waco, TX) to clash with the Cadets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 9-2.

Next up, the Broncos clash with the Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, December 9. Lake Belton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 76-45 non-league loss to Plano (Plano, TX).
