Lovett Lions (Atlanta, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA), 46-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lovett upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to McDonough (McDonough, GA) to play the Warhawks in a AAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Warhawks come into the bout with a record of 1-3. McDonough lost 57-25 in their recent league bout against Woodland (Stockbridge, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Morrow Mustangs (Morrow, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Mt. Zion will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 78-29 league loss to Rockdale County (Conyers, GA).
