Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), 64-9 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shallowater upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Odessa (Odessa, TX) to meet the Bronchos in a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. The Bronchos enter the contest with a record of 8-6.

The Bobcats (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Tulia (Tulia, TX). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Tulia was routed by Peaster (Peaster, TX), 66-29, in a non-league contest.
