Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals (Jamestown, NC), 58-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Morehead upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Rockingham County won 61-39 in their recent non-league bout against McMichael (Mayodan, NC)

Next up, the Royals play the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. College Prep & Leadership Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 64-18 non-league loss to Walkertown (Walkertown, NC).
