The Holmes Aces basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Pamlico County Hurricanes to 35 in the Aces non-league victory on Friday.

The Aces now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Perquimans for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. Holmes will play a Pirates squad coming off a 36-31 non-league loss to Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 0-2.

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Pamlico County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 34-31 non-league win over Havelock (Havelock, NC).
