    • California High School Basketball - Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory nips Albany

    December 2, 2023: Albany, CA 94706

    Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Albany Cougars (Albany, CA), 55-50 in a non-league bout.

    With the victory, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Fightin' Irish travel to University (San Francisco, CA) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 3-1. University won 73-63 in their recent non-league bout against Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA)

    Next up, the Cougars play the Bethel Jaguars (Vallejo, CA) in a Tri-County - Stone bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Albany will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 57-52 non-league loss to American Canyon (American Canyon, CA).
