The Vela Sabercats basketball team (Edinburg, TX), was nudged 52-51 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX)

The Chargers now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sam Houston for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 5. Boerne-Champion will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 60-51 non-league loss to Marshall (San Antonio, TX). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-7.

The Sabercats (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers come into the 5A Region IV District 31 battle with a 3-6 record.
