Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cairo Pilots (Cairo, IL), 79-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sesser-Valier upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Johnston City (Johnston City, IL) to play the Indians in a Black Diamond - West bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 0-5.

Next up, the Pilots play the Martinsville Bluestreaks (Martinsville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Cairo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
