The Camp Point Central Panthers (Camp Point, IL) basketball nipped the host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans (Concord, IL), 36-29 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Panthers (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Beardstown (Beardstown, IL). The Tigers go into the Freelance test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Beardstown got by PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL), 53-45, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Routt Catholic for a Western Illinois Valley test on Tuesday, December 5. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 46-35 non-league win over Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 3-2.
