Cardinal O'Hara Lions (Springfield, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Germantown Academy Patriots (Fort Washington, PA), 64-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cardinal O'Hara upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions host West Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA) to play the Speedboys in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Speedboys go into the bout with a record of 0-1. West Philadelphia lost 79-55 in their recent non-league bout against Jackson-Reed (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Patriots play the Pennington Red Raiders (Pennington, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Germantown Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 102-79 non-league win over Holy Ghost Prep (Bensalem, PA).
