The Cypress Lakes Spartans basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Lamar Texans to 43 in the Spartans non-league victory on Saturday.

The Spartans now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mayde Creek for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 2. Cypress Lakes will battle a Rams team coming off a 77-65 non-league loss to Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, TX). The Rams record now stands at 6-6.

The Texans (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Eisenhower (Houston, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Eisenhower was nudged by Cypress Park (Cypress, TX), 55-40, in a non-league contest.
