The Edinburg Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Gillespie Miners to 52 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ramsey for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 6.

The Miners (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Civic Memorial was defeated by Jersey (Jerseyville, IL), 42-35, in a league contest.
