Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN) and the host Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), saw South Spencer's basketball squad hold off Hancock County by a count of 61-54.

With the victory, South Spencer upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Washington (Washington, IN) to play the Hatchets in a Pocket challenge on Friday, December 8. The Hatchets come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Washington lost 31-29 in their recent non-league challenge against North Daviess (Elnora, IN)

Next up, the Hornets play the John Hardin Bulldogs (Elizabethtown, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 4. Hancock County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 91-63 non-league loss to Caverna (Horse Cave, KY).
