Lewis Academy Watchmen (Newberg, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Powers Cruisers (Powers, OR), 32-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lewis Academy upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Watchmen host Oregon School for the Deaf (Salem, OR) to play the Panthers in a 1A Casco bout on Thursday, December 7. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Cruisers play the Pacific (Port Orford, OR) in a 1A Skyline bout, on Friday, December 8. Powers will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
