The Maple River Eagles basketball team (Mapleton, MN), was toppled 70-55 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN)
The Cougars now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plainview-Elgin-Millville for a AA Section 1 contest on Friday, December 8.
The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Kenyon-Wanamingo was defeated by Cotter (Winona, MN), 72-46, in a non-league contest.
