University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Non Freshman Opponent (, ), 46-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, University Prep upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers host Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Pleasant Valley lost 60-58 in their recent non-league bout against Inderkum (Sacramento, CA)

Next up, the clash with the King's Knights (Seattle, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Non Freshman Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 10-30 season record.
