Maryland High School Basketball - Springdale Prep can't hold off Academy of the New Church

The Academy of the New Church Lions basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Springdale Prep Lions to 50 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perkiomen School for a non-league contest on Sunday, December 3.

The Lions (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hun (Princeton, NJ). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Hun was nudged by Academy-Notre Dame De Namur (Villanova, PA), 62-33, in a non-league contest.
