Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Loup (Arnold, NE), 56-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Amherst upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Broncos travel to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Broken Bow won 52-33 in their recent league bout against Holdrege (Holdrege, NE)

Next up, the play the Cambridge Trojans (Cambridge, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. South Loup will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
