In Saturday's non-league outing, the San Gabriel Mission Pioneers (San Gabriel, CA) basketball squad beat the host Animo Leadership Aztec Eagles (Inglewood, CA), by a count of 39-20.
The Pioneers (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA). The Valiants go into the Santa Fe outing with a 0-4 record. In their last outing, St. Genevieve was topped by St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA), 54-24, in a league outing.
The Aztec Eagles now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Compton Early College for a Mulholland outing on Thursday, December 14.
