Borger Bulldogs (Borger, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX), 44-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Borger upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Randall (Amarillo, TX) to play the Raiders in a 4A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 6-3.

Next up, the Lions play the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. New Deal will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
