The Chalmette Owls felled the host Newman Greenies basketball squad by a margin of 58-42 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Owls (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Carver Collegiate Academy thwarted Cohen (New Orleans, LA), 58-17, in a non-league test.
The Greenies now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Chapelle for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 6. Newman will encounter a Chipmunks squad coming off a 45-39 non-league loss to Northshore (Slidell, LA). The Chipmunks record now stands at 5-1.
