    In Saturday's non-league outing, the Lanier Voks (San Antonio, TX) basketball squad felled the host Cotulla Cowboys (Cotulla, TX), by a margin of 41-31.

    The Voks (3-13) will now prepare for their outing against Sam Houston (San Antonio, TX). The Hurricanes go into the 5A Region IV District 27 outing with a 6-8 record. In their last outing, Sam Houston was beaten by Madison (San Antonio, TX), 45-40, in a non-league outing.

    The Cowboys now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to La Pryor for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 5. Cotulla will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 44-26 non-league win over Sabinal (Sabinal, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-0.
