Nebraska High School Basketball - Sutton nips Freeman

Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE), 39-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sutton upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Heartland (Henderson, NE) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Heartland won 28-25 in their recent non-league bout against Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE)

Next up, the Falcons play the Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 8. Freeman will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 0-2 record after their 59-48 league loss to Fairbury (Fairbury, NE).
