Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Foundations (Philadelphia, PA), 43-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Springfield Township upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to New Hope-Solebury (New Hope, PA) to clash with the Lions in a Suburban One - American bout on Friday, December 8. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-1. New Hope-Solebury lost 57-41 in their recent league bout against Cheltenham (Wyncote, PA)

Next up, the clash with the Mastery Warrior (Camden, NJ) in a Penn-Jersey bout, on Monday, December 4. New Foundations will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
