    • Texas High School Basketball - Spring edges The Woodlands

    The Spring Lions (Spring, TX) basketball nipped the visiting The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX), 38-37 in Saturday's non-league test.

    The Lions (10-5) will now prepare for their test against MacArthur (Houston, TX). The Generals go into the 6A Region II District 14 test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, MacArthur was tipped by Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, TX), 39-29, in a non-league test.

    The Highlanders now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they host New Caney for a 6A Region II District 13 test on Tuesday, December 5. The Woodlands will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 60-35 non-league loss to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-9.
