United Lions (Armagh, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bishop McCort Crushers (Johnstown, PA), 37-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, United upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lions host Marion Center (Marion Center, PA) to play the Stingers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Stingers come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Crushers play the Greater Johnstown Trojans (Johnstown, PA) in a bout, on Monday, December 11. Bishop McCort will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
