Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL), 56-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Christ the King upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL) to play the Trojans in a bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Timothy Christian won 58-22 in their recent non-league bout against College Prep of America (Lombard, IL)

Next up, the Spartans play the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) in a bout, on Tuesday, December 5. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
