Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host White Pine Bobcats (Ely, NV), 33-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Yerington upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Fernley (Fernley, NV) to play the Vaqueros in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Vaqueros come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Fernley won 51-31 in their recent non-league bout against Pershing County (Lovelock, NV)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. White Pine will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
