In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting West Monona Spartans basketball team scored a big 62-16 triumph over the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Harrison (Mondamin, IA). The Hawkeyes go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, West Harrison was trounced by Glidden-Ralston (Glidden, IA), 52-13, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA) in a Twin Lakes contest, on Friday, December 6. Storm Lake St. Mary will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
