Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Granada moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Piedmont (Piedmont, CA) to meet the Highlanders in a non-league test on Thursday, December 5. The Highlanders come into the test with a record of 0-2. Piedmont lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA)

The Monarchs now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Pittsburg for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 4. Mt. Eden will meet a Pirates team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Rodriguez (Fairfield, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.
