The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Yorktown Wildcats to 35 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Floresville for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 4. Nixon-Smiley will clash with a Tigers/Jaguars squad coming off a 48-34 non-league win over Edison (San Antonio, TX). The Tigers/Jaguars record now stands at 5-3.

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Flatonia (Flatonia, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league outing with a 0-3 record.
