Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA) backers went home thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting StoneBridge Cavaliers (Chesapeake, VA), 55-52 in a non-league contest.

The Raiders (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Northeast Academy was tipped by Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC), 59-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cavaliers confront the Tidewater Academy Warriors (Wakefield, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 5. StoneBridge will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 72-54 league loss to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA).
