Texas High School Basketball - Springtown held off by Saginaw

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX) and the host Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), observed Saginaw's basketball team edge Springtown by a score of 40-37.

The Rough Riders (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Crandall (Crandall, TX). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Crandall was nudged by Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX), 51-42, in a non-league battle.

The Porcupines now own a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Memorial for a non-league battle on Friday, December 5. Springtown will meet a Mavericks squad coming off a 42-23 non-league loss to Henrietta (Henrietta, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 3-7.
