The Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) basketball edged the visiting North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC), 74-67 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Newton-Conover for a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 3. Alexander Central will play a Red Devils squad coming off a 65-11 non-league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-0.
The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave come into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Ashbrook held off East Lincoln (Denver, NC), 34-28, in a non-league test.
