Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (Whittemore, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Fairview Eagles (Fairview, MI), 70-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Whittemore-Prescott upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cardinals host Alcona (Lincoln, MI) to play the Tigers in a North Star bout on Thursday, January 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Alcona won 47-46 in their recent league bout against Hale (Hale, MI)

Next up, the Eagles play the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (Au Gres, MI) in a North Star bout, on Friday, January 7. Fairview will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 73-28 non-league loss to Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI).
