Iowa High School Basketball - Newton overwhelms Albia

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA) and the visiting Albia Blue Demons (Albia, IA), saw Newton's basketball squad wallop Albia by a count of 79-48.

With the victory, Newton upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Pella Christian (Pella, IA) to play the Eagles in a Little Hawkeye challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Pella Christian won 61-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Wilton (Wilton, IA)

Next up, the Blue Demons play the Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Albia will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record.
